The rear drivers couldn't happen at a worse time I am heading for pineville Thursday night. Elmo actually made a really good suggestion I am going to try in the morning...I am going to swap the rear axles side form side and see what happens....I aint got nothing to loose but bout half an hours time trying it.....
Thats a good idea....I hope it works | |

| Did you mention that the bearing replacement was a kit (includes a new hub)? Many times the hub's bearing surface is worn. Did the axle nut tighten up enough to remove all axle-to-hub play? Were the cone washers, behind the nut, installed with their dome to the outside?
I'm still thinkin'. | |

| How long do bearings and hubs generally last? Is there a rule of thumb on these? |

| Brake pads lying loose is what i was talking about earlier in this post. A brake pad can be loose when brakes are not applied. Almost as if the retaining springs aren't holding them back against the piston completely. And if your rotor has any warpage whatsoever, each time the rotor goes by that certain spot it can touch the pad resulting in a constant click with every revolution. Try holding the brakes while moving forward and see if you still have the click. | |

| Another item that has been known to cause ticking noises that sound like a cv joint or bearings is the castle nuts not being torqued down to proper specs. | |
