| Today I changed the belt on my Commander. I decided to put a new one on after I smoked it pretty good at the fall ride. I thought it was going to look like junk when it came out. It sure does look good. Notice where I am holding the belt, there is a groove worn in. Thats where is spun and made all the smoke. This belt is hardly worn. Oh well. I guess I have a nice backup. I took an upclose pic of where it spun on the belt. |

I got hung up ona log with the shifter in high. Thats never a good thing. Tried to take off and spun the belt. She smoked up! |

| I'm going to replace mine pretty soon when I hit 2000 miles whether it needs it or not. I figure it will be good practice, plus I will have the original for a spare.
Tbone, you did the right thing. No reason to take a chance on it after that. | |

| what kind of belts are you guys putting in your commanders? I need to replace the on in my commander but not sure if i should go with stock or maybe a EPI belt. | |

| i have heard some talk about people putting the maverick belt in the commanders is there any truth to this, the say the maverick belt is tuffer. i dont know and have never heard it personally. | |
