This is why I have not been back to hatfield since 07 and refuse to go back. they fine the crap out of people for going off trail but as soon as fishers atv world shows up they drive the quads with lusk with them and go down to the stearling place to eat. now correct me if im wrong but i dont believe there is a legal trail to get down to stearling??

BUT IT IS NOT THE HATFIELD MCCOY RANGERS DOING IT , IT IS THEIR FOLKS ! I was also told that the haul road was being decommissioned from being a county road around the minning areas and they are being pressured to write tickets for folks accessing those areas from "do not enter " trails ! the Hatfield Mccoy Rangers are NOT patroling the wagon wheel !

That seems more like it Porkchop. Because of the sue everyone world we live in, these mining companys have to be like that. For those who haven't worked on a surface mine, you would not believe the amount of crap you have to go through to be allowed on the job site. If someone gets hurt as a result of operations on the mine, there will be a lawsuit. They are serious about covering their azz. They may even go as far as buying atvs/utvs for their rent-a-cops to ride and chase people. I don't see them ever having anyone with any authority patroling it though. If you get chased, just hit the nastiest most hardcore trail you can think of and keep on rollin. Just don't go around where they are actually doing the mining. You don't want to be around when they blast.

The way I'm thinking...H/m is gonna absorb the liability issue...

Well I get my pass every year anyways so oh well. It sucks. I hope it doesnt hurt the industry any up there.
