| what brand shock are they , pro , bilstien , carrea , are they gas or oil , progressive , digressive or linier ? I think the 100lb spring is to light , but you can put a spring rubber in it but you will have to pre load the spring so it does not throw throw the rubber out on the jumps ! if it free we can make it work ! | |

Pretty close, TBONE. Stock pre-load is 220#/" on all corners. Most of us find that to be too soft (bottoms out). And, the stock spring gives up ride height quickly due to sag. As someone else has said, higher spring rates will increase ride height and it also prevents bottoming out. All this comes at the expense of a harsher ride. To keep as much shock travel as I can, I shoot for a spring rate that gives me the static ride height I want plus a modest degree of pre-load adjustment without getting it so stiff that RZR bounces on the big ruts(my JBS shocks also play a big role in compression and rebound rate) . Long story, short, I run 150# springs on the front (pre-loaded to ~ 245-250#) and 250# on the rear (pre-loaded to ~350#). | |
