| I hope it doesn't matter because when I put my heater in I just got regular name brand from the auto parts store that said something about being safe for mixing with all brands. If I screwed up I will not be happy! | |

| Well what's in it from factory. I have been told mixing is bad too but have no idea what to get. Is there pooplaris brand coolant to buy and pour in? |

| Yes there is Polaris brand that is premixed and ready to pour in. I wouldnt mix it but if you completely drained it and wanted to add something else that would be fine. Just make sure it is safe with aluminum parts which most all antifreeze is nowadays. | |

| Uuuuhhh, the pre mix is fine, what ever brand u prefer. Darryl u don't have to use popo brand that's I bunch of BS, anti freeze is pretty much antifreeze. For cooler temps in summer u can use this stuff I think it's called engine ice (damn I can't remember the name so don't quote me). Some of my friends used on their grizzly's, they had overheating problems with 03/04's, seems it had to do with gas tank cover (sides) not having the little holes for proper ventilation. That antifreeze brought the temp down but still had to replace plastic to prevent overheating. So the answer is NO u don't have tO use popo antifreeze. | |

| The polaris antifreeze is different.....last winter I changed my antifreeze and it was a gel....I asked the dealer if this was normal and they said yes...when it's cold (40 and below) it's a gel...when the engine warms up it turns back to liquid...I ain't never seen nothing like that... | |

Thanks superdave! Back when I had my 6.0 diesel ford, the diesel mechanics said it was horrible to mix coolants due to throwing the ph off. I have just always remembered that. |

| I had a couple of friends that came down from north Ga. with their RZRs this past spring. Both of them had their anti freeze turn to gel, and it sure was planty hot enough in Fl. One told me later that he had added a different brand of antifreeze to top off his over flow bottle, and that is what caused it to gel up. I don't know if he added a different color, or if it being a different brand caused it, but it sure did cause him problems with his RZR. He melted a lot of plastic panels and melted holes in stuff. So I would be careful with it. With my luck, I decided to just buy some PoPo pre mixed anti freeze and keep it in my camper with my other fluids for the diffs, transfer, tranny, and motor. | |

| The mixing, for temporary fill on trail fine but needs to really be the same brand coolant not mixed. I looked it up, it is called engine ice, use is for summer keeps engine temps lower. Mixing this is not reccomended. | |

| If it's got green in it, only mix green with it. Don't ever mix regular green antifreeze with that lifetime orange stuff. I've heard bad things will happen. Bubba, that is the most interesting thing I've ever heard of on the antifreeze being gel till it warms up. Sounds like someone really wants to sell you the over priced popo stuff to me. I could be wrong though. But, how could the water pump stay together if it was trying to pump gel? Tbone, there were many excusses for the 6.0 problems. The real problem was the engine itself. There are aftermarket parts to make a 6.0 the poop though. Good thing Ford ditched them. You said 6.0 and horrible in the same post. | |

Thanks hump u da man!! |

| I went today to get some pooplaris coolant. It comes in quarts and gallons. It is called antigel. Sooooo if u have gel u may have some issues with your coolant. I dunno. The bottle does say anti gel. |
