| My 2cents is this
I had stock belt on 26 tires and the way RAYRAY and I throttle jockey I started eating
belts, Ray has wide spacers and wide wheels to the outside and heavy tires. plus the walker evans edition my be clutched just a little different. because I've seen with my own eyes that his rzr comes on real good and fast. too much load on the belt.
2 things rayray. tear it down, look at the low side of shieves and make sure no grooves from bearing, 2nd put a s belt on and make sure looking at the clutches you can read the belt # from left to right. number starting at primary ending at secondary, start it up and rev it a little and make sure no strange wobble and that when rpms come down that belt stays smooth and tight with no flap.

No way you ever out ran anybody except maybe the guy on the hover-round and he had one flat tire and was drunk..........

This is my third broken belt...Killerskank seems to think that with my 27" tires and as hard as we ride that the belt can't take. He said I need a S belt.
I asked the dealer about a S belt the last time it broke and he said that the S belt would not work on a standard rzr. Skank has one on his and it does just fine.
NOW!!!! Here is the sad part....on take off it would slip and hit the rev limiter if I hit the gas really hard which was most of the day......and I still had to wait on Mr. T-bone in his famous XP. THAT IS SOOO SAD Yes , S belt for sure . I pretty sure you have issues with the Sheaves not closing all the way , could you be putting the belt on backwards ? When you put the next belt on , crank it up and make sure the belt is comming all the way to the top fo the Sheaves , Clean your sheaves ( You tube how to clean ) . Make sure you don't have mudd packing in behind the Secondary . Somewhere there is something keeping the Belt from locking all the way up , 27 " tires might be part of it but it should last longer than 127 miles . Good input, Punder. Heat(from belt slip) shortens its life - dead-stop launches, rock crawling, slow high range speeds, etc. Before you tear it down (in Park) rev the engine to see that you have good air flow from the clutch cooling duct. Do you have a clutch kit? DDP or Dalton might suggest different springs and helix for your particular equipment and riding style. That being said, Punder's right, somethings very wrong with your clutch. You should consider disassembling the sheaves. Lots can wear out in the drive sheave (buttons, rollers, flyweight interference, etc.).

Lots can wear out in the drive sheave (buttons, rollers, flyweight interference, etc.). That belt should come all the way to the top , almost to the point it looks like it might come out at full lock , then it should rest in the bottom with no touch at idle , occasionaly it will touch and move slightly . It should also be a smooth movement from top to bottom . Take the belt off and use our hand to feel for groves , it should be smooth all the way to the bottom with no shine , should looke like dull alum , if its shinny then you have burned a belt on it . Do you get water in your belt , if so there might be another problem , when you get water you get mudd which can collect behind the Secondary and primary keeping them from full movement . Also check to make sure the belt is center in the sheaves and not trackng to the side , if so then you are out of alignment ( I am guessing this is what is wrong ) and needs to be shimmed .

I have gotten water in the belt housing before but not on the new belt. I have not taken the primary or secondary apart since i have owned the machine, so you may have a point there. I have always taken the belt cover off after every other ride and blew out all the dust. It seems to help a littie. I know I am putting the belt on correctly and I do break it in. Everything on the rzr is stock accept the tires, wheels and wheel spacers. I'm gonna take everything apart after I let it sit for a few days and decide if I'm going to keep it or just sell it and get a different sxs..... or different hobby.
