| Wonder what that would mean for the people that bought passes when it was still under the burning rock name. I know we have tried to go there a couple times this year and they have been closed and we told the people that answered that we bought a year pass and had not been able to use them and they said that when the reopened they would send us knew passes to start on the day that they are open. Wonder if that means they will be sending H&M passes ? | |

| I haven't heard about H/M being involved, but it will be under new management. Trail Systems out of Kentucky is grading and making new trails. They told my group they would extend passes for the time they have been down.

| Thats is true about extending the passes for the time they were down, I was told by the mnmgt. Although they have extended over past route 54 and leaning towards 97 which is pineville. |

| There has been rumors for years that H/M would end up with it.It only makes sense for H/M to take it over and connect it with all the other systems in place and future trail systems.

| It would be better for me if they did join H/M. My pass is $60/yr there and $50/yr at H/M. I like that they are close to town and the park is right off the paved road. If they extend the trails and join H/M that would be perfect. | |

| Timothy Ward: rumor is that H/M owns the park now
Burning Rock Outdoor Adventure Park: Timothy, that is most certainly just a rumor. No ties to the H/M system.

| I would think that if H/M bought the system they would put out a press release by now. | |

| Heard from a member of the committee @ town last nite that H/M Does have it and some of it will be open march first, they have crews in there from Ky. redoing some of the trails and making some one way trails for speed |

That's the only way I see it making it.Financially I don't see it being profitable as a stand alone trail system which I'm sure why H/M is getting it.With H/M being so large and people buying two permits instead of one.

Could that have something to do with the consumption of apple pie? No I can confirm, it has nothing to do with Apple Pie. Look forward to riding Burning Rock trails with a HM sticker. Road Burning Rock one weekend a couple years ago but couldn't justify a permit at Burning Rock and a HM Permit. They have some nice cabins and campground area.

| Maybe March 1st is the big press release. I don't know what the big secret is, even to the point they are denying H/M is involved. Maybe we will know for sure a week from today. They did say Trail Mgmt Systems from Ky is redoing the trails and that they are opening most of the system March 1st. | |

| I was talking to Ann that owns Ann's Diner in Matoaka this past Saturday and told her we heard Burning Rock was being taken over by H/M and she already knew it.She said the Mayor in Matoaka talks to the H/M people a lot since they are coming into Matoaka at some point and H/M had told the Mayor that they were taking over Burning Rock so sounds good to me. | |

| don't get to upset Timmi, I have a buddy who works for Raleigh county assessor office, I mentioned to him about it being taken over by H/M, because use of an existing Radio Controlled Car Tack may go away. he Said he had already heard from the new management about enlarging the existing track, and it wasn't H/M. not to say any of it is wrong. could be transitioning from old management to new management and soon to be operated by H/M....so who knows...... | |
