| Following a 2wd atv yesterday I watched as he went sideways on a hil and tipped on the side. No one was hurt but I was a 1/4 of the way up the hill and last in our group. So I put it in park and helped the other rider. So I start it up, and sure enough, my RZR wouldn't come out of park. No matter how hard I pushed on the brake and said $hit several times. So no problem as everyone was now way up the hill "I will winch to that there tree." So I did, took the pressure off and that got it out of park and.....think about it.. .....how do you get the winch out from around the tree, reel it in tightly and keep it in gear and have my foot on the brake at the same time by yourself. So I tried it again with the same predictable results. Luckily after a few LOUD shouts a friend cam back to unhook the winch. OK so next time I will have either a co-pilot, a log to put under the wheels before I put it in park or make me a parking brake contraption out of the pipe and mount it to the floor in brackets. Its funny how I buy stuff for the RZR but the one easy cheap mod I need to make I haven't. | |

| A parking brake is a must with the RZR, Just how long will it take Polaris to install them from the factory? |

| That is one thing I have noticed about the RZR, even when parked on a slight hill. It is a pain to get it out of park!!
I know Shawn said he came up with a solution but what have you others done. I cannot imagine parking on a big hill in this thing.

| I used the line lock from Ebay. I tappped into the brake line behind the driver seat. Fairly simple job. My total cost $45 Seems to work great so far. | |

| Some people complain about how the foot parking brake on the Teryx works and how goofy it seems. But it works and now I can appreciate it. I didn't imagine that Polaris wouldn't put one on their machine..weird. | |

Seems to work great so far. When I spoke to a Jegs tech guys about doing that he suggested not to his reason was the Solenoid would not hold up ..... My thought has been to use this http://www.jegs.com/i/Amundsen+Research+Components/056/3010/10002/-1 and tap the brakes and use the factory parking brake on my ranger to hold pressure on the master cylinder. Only problem I see is if it fails , all you brakes fail ( not good ) .

| We could all just start carrying one or two of these around also... or maybe Polaris could make it an option from the dealer... Thanks for all the links... | |

I'm sure it will be a good one then Gadget. I was thinking about using cpvc, cutting a peice in two and at the cut glueing a male adaptor on one end and a female adaptor on the other cut piece. Screwing the two adaptors together then that would give me a little bit of adjustment if needed it. Cut a notch in the lower end to fit pedal lever. Adjust the top to fit. Save some $$$
