Kit from EMP:
First you have to install the bracket:
Note on my Gen 1 RZR I had to drill the hole 2 bit sizes up, where it connect to the tilt shock support. On the 2010 "S" it fit just like the instructions said.
The other end of the bracket is installed in a factory hole in the frame and the second attachment is a self tapping screw.
Another tip unless you have a angle drill to install the self-tapping screw, leave the tilt shock out and install bracket with just bolt attached and install the bracket. Then install the tilt shock back into it's support and move on to the next step.
Now install the Rod Bracket assembly:
First you need to replace the stock clevis pin with the supplied adjustable lenght pin. Make sure you save the factory cotter pin, you will need it in the reassembly. Once the new clevis pin is installed slide on one of the supplied washers, then the Rod Bracket assembly, then the second washer. After the assemby is installed on the new clevis pin, install the stock cotter pin followed by the supllied cotter pin as a backup.
Note: The flat washer were in the kit but not in the instructions where to install them, I put them on both sides of the Rod Bracket assembly to stop some if any rattling.
Last part to install is the cam lock and the Tube and nut assembly.
Install the 5/16" threaded stock into the cam lock, then into the tube and nut assembly.
Tip screw the threaded stock all the way in, on both pieces and make sure the 3 jam nut and also installed.
Once assemby is constructed slide through the hole on the bracket, before you slide the assemby onto the Rod Bracket Assembly, slide on the supplied lock nut for the Cam Lock. Once the assemby is mated, screw on the lock nut and tight Cam Lock to the bracket.
Once Cam Lock is secured, lift and lock the Cam Lock handle, and step on the brake. The using the Tube and Nut assemby lenghten the brake assemby until it hold the brake in place.
To check system put you machine in Neutral and try to move it, if the machine doesn't move you now have a parking brake. Then release the brake and make sure your machine will move and not holding back on your brake pedal.
Total installation time was 15 mins on the 08' RZR because I was reading the instructions and had to drill the bracket. On the 10' RZR-S it only took about 5 mins to install and adjust the assembly.
