| Nope, can't tell you. Its top secret LOL.
The radios we use use FRS and GMRS frequencies, they can be found easily on the net, here they are if you don't want to look them up.
Channel Frequency in MHz 1 462.5625 2 462.5875 3 462.6125 4 462.6375 5 462.6625 6 462.6875 7 462.7125 8 467.5625 9 467.5875 10 467.6125 11 467.6375 12 467.6625 13 467.6875 14 467.7125 15 462.550 16 462.575 17 462.600 18 462.625 19 462.650 20 462.675 21 462.700 22 462.725
The easiest way is go just go buy a set of handhelds but the problems most of us have with those is you can't hear them very well while riding (especially with a helmet), they are cumbersome to use while driving and probably most importantly they just aren't as clear and reach as far as the radio units we were talking about in that thread.

| 3012red You need to make sure before you buy, the radio is UHF. I have a Motorola CDM1550 LS+ which has all the FRS and GRS freq which works great for me. Kenwood is also another brand. You can find radios for sell on eBay, just make sure that who you buy from can program them or that you know a local radio tech that has the software and cables to program. You can’t buy the software off the internet; it is a dealer only item and cost 2 to 3 hundred dollars unless you have a good friend that can boot leg you a copy. Also make sure that the radio has enough channel capacity to program what channels you will want. Channel 3 FRS seams to be one of the channels used most but I personally like having all the channels. Hope this helps you.

| Firepup is right, 3 is what we mostly use but I like having all of them in case there are others out there on the same channel. He is also right about having it programed, you need to be sure who every you get it from is willing to program it. I doubt you could take it to a local shop to have it done because its not exactly by the book if you know what I mean. | |

| ok.. I have to get to bed.. but here is what i know... You want a UHF radio that will program to the FRS/GMRS freq's listed above in neuromax's post. You can buy these second hand on Ebay, and many of the sellers offer programming for an additional charge.. some for free. I checked the guy I bought from, and he is out at the moment.. However, in a quick search here is what i came up with (I am not recommending these sellers, I have never used them)
You will also need a antenna that will work in the 460mhz range to support the radio. You can pick those up for 20-30 bucks.

If you have other questions I will help you out anyway I can. I did send a bunch of info to Tbone as well, he might still have some of it.
Please let me know thanks Gunpilot
