| as you may or may not know, i ripped the valve stem out of my drivers side ITP 14" rim with buckhorn tires. so to get it to the dealer to have the service done and the new rim and tire mounted i install the LE 12" rim and tire. it was a straight back into my trailer but something seemed to be dragging. when we unloaded it and tried to turn the wheel the tire stopped turning. it appeasrs that with the way the racer tech lift kit mounts from the top it causes the 12" rim to rub. i now have a nice 1/8" gash on the inside of my stock LE rim. NOTHING in their add says anything about not being able to run 12" rims. http://www.goracertech.com/ | |

| i bought the kit myself online and had the polaris dealer install it, so im sure it's installed correctly. i will have to find out exactly what it rubbed against and report back. it seems to me the issue is that the kit lifts from the top not raises from the bottom. no clue. | |

| Did it not rub when you first had it installed....it may be possible that you may have bent something...just a suggestion. | |

| That sucks. I had that happen on my grizzly when I switched from stock rims. the new rim rubbed on the brake mud cleaner metal plate. I had to grind them down and finally ended up getting offset rims to quiet it. | |

| i had the 14" ITP rims on it when they installed the kit. the only reason i put the 12" LE rims on was that i brought it back from Little Coal River last weekend with the drivers side front tire flat. so i ordered a new rim and tire (14" ITP with a Buckhorn). i figure the rim is good except for where i stripped the paint off trying to climb out of that mud pit. the tire seems ok, but since i drove it about 5-6 miles without air and one bead off the rim, i figure i can use it for a spare but not everyday use. i thought about just putting one of the LE rims and stock tires as a spare. i would have sh*t had i done that and then found out it didnt work. it looks like it rubbed the brake caliper. i just think the 14" rims give it more clearance but like i said"racer techs" add never mentioned it as being an issue with 12" rims. i think i will call them tomorrow. | |

| Nothing should have rubbed as a result of the lift kit unless it was the upper control arm rubbing the inside edge of the wheel at the bead, due to the added angle. If that's the part of the wheel that is messed up, it most likely rubed durring the suspensions down travel. If the caliper hit, you have something else going on that has nothing to do with the lift. | |

| thanks Hump. i dont have a clue. been thinking about it, since the groove was on the inside of the rim well past the lip. it may have something to do with the difference of the off set of the two rims. I'll take a pic of the rim tonight and post it, plus the dealer is doing service work on it and replacing that front shock under warrenty due to the bump stop being broken. i'm sure if i bent something they will let me know today. | |
