| my son has a 2011 rzr 800 seems the belt always gets wet, we have installed a snorkle kit and siliconed all joints but it keeps taking water into the belt housing, he has also siliconed around the belt housing, has anyone else had this problem, i have 2009 rzr 800 and have only had one episode of the belt getting wet, and i had to swim for safety that time any help would be appreciated | |

| these things sure can be trouble sometimes. I would just redo it and see it if seals itself up. |

| I have never put silicone on any of mine , what I do is take the belt cover off and put grease ( light ) across the ruber seal that is already there . You would be supprised how great a seal grease is ( its like glue ) and much easier to clean off when you need to do service there . | |

| My snorkel kit leaked to. I have a valve stem installed on the bottom of the belt cover. When I get around to it I'm going to take a water hose and fill it full of water. See where it comes out at. What do you think? | |

| put it in neutral and rev the motor up. It will sling the water off and put some heat in it, drying off the belt.
I did that and the RZR was ready to go. |

| I would get it back to be fixed and be sure and be there when they tear it down to make sure the primary and secondary is not damaged or starting to in case the moisture and muddy stuff got in the weight system. Get them to check it out soon as possible. | |

| Take the clutches off and remove the back black plactic cover, and put some black RTV around the shafts that go through the back cover. Re-install every thing and it should be good to the top of the snorkels. I take the Joker into DEEP water and mud a lot, and have never had a wet clutch. I can take the Joker places that would cause T-Bome to have night mares just thinking about it!!! | |

| Yea but I wouldn't do that while it's still under warranty due to them wanting to blame snorkle on everything else that might come up. Let the dealership make the problem right and can always do the sealant and snorkles later on. Dealers are bad to blame mods for some of the factory issues to get out of some problems. | |

| well they said they couldnt locate a leak, but they also said my belt was bad so I had to buy a new belt.. But when I asked to see my old belt they couldnt find it, so after some bitching they gave me another new belt for a spare..
went out a few weeks ago and the same thing happened, screw the warranty its no good around here any way, Im going to pull the secondary and the primary this week and start siliconing | |

| I put silicone around the clutch cover houseing seal because mine was leaking. Stopped the leak. Later I decided to replace the belt as a routine maintenance thing. Couldn't get the cover off. Worked on it for about four hours before I got it apart. Luckily the belt didn't go out in the woods. I would have been screwed. Had to buy a new rubber seal. No more silicone around the seal for me. | |
