| Considering the new 1000 Wildcat so I'm curious if there are any drivetrain issues that have surfaced in the 1000 Prowler that anyone has heard or experienced? I believe I had heard of some rear differential on one of the 1000 powertrain offerings....not sure if it was the Thundercat or the Prowler.
Any info or experience is appreciated!

| Good question I don't know much about them you will need to go to the Prowler forum I would say to find out because I don't think we got anyone on here that has one. | |

| Found this so far on Prowlerforum: well my 09 burned up the trans at 1200 miles and took out the motor .
all of the 09 and early 10 had a transmission that used thrust washers between the gears in the trans and combined with a low pressure oiling system they all burn the washers , washers come apart and wreck alot of things inside. . mid 2010 AC redesigned the engine cases for better oiling . 65psi ) but still used the same trans . then in oct 2010 they started using the gen 3 transmission. it no longer uses the thrust washers, has fewer moving parts and combined with the higher pressure oiling it seams to be holding together much better for anybody that runs at high speed for long period of time.,
alot more info on trans failures can be found in prowlertalk . do a search there . we have spent alot of time and money to learn all of this .

| I wouldn't waste my time or money on an arctic cat unless it was a snowmobile............there's too many other good machines out there! | |

| Tbone , you think the guys give you a hard time, try showing up with a prowler and see how much crap ya gotta take, my crew actually started to carry more tools when I was gonna be with them. bad thing was we usually needed them before the weekend was over. it had some balls, I'll give it that but dependability wasnt a strong point. | |
