| Most of us are just using a nylon (cordura) bag and have them mounted under our roofs. I'd prefer to have a stereo type pod and I may have to modify down the road, but having towed on an open trailer in heavy rain for 3 hours, the bag and full windshield have done their jobs keeping it from getting soaked. Here is a bad picture of how it is mounted: Something like this might be more ideal though: http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Weatherproof-Stereo-Housing&i=84599&aID=604A7&merchID=4006 Of course, you'd have to adapt the face to work with your 2 way radio. I've seen boat guys use starboard to adapt the face plate with. | |

| If Bubba has an extra enclosure that you can get, that may be the way to go. On a different note, KyMedic told me the only place you have to worry about water entering and ruining your radio is the speaker opening. Since I already have mine mounted to the roof, my plans are to waterproof the speaker opening with some type of shrink wrap or silicon and use an external speaker. Not trying to sway you in any way, just providing other options. Good luck with either path you choose. I know you will enjoy the radio!
