| Going hog hunting. Anyone with experience here? It's our first hunt so we went with a shorter hunt little less money. If we like it probably go back for a bigger hunt next year.

| I've always wanted to bow/crossbow hunt them. Sounds like a blast. Just need to find the time. | |

| We are being over run with the durn things down here! It has gotten so bad that there is a open season on them. Put out a battery powered deer feeder for a week or two, and then just show up a bit before the feeder goes off, and take your pick of which hogs to shoot. We build traps and catch a bunch, just kill the big ones and catch up the little ones and pen them up and feed them like a tame hog. Pretty tastey. If your are planning on eating one, the big boars aren't very tastey. I guess that they eat to many acorns. And if ya catch some in a trap, it is pretty dangerous trying to let the big ones out to run off. They tend to get mad and want to fight with you. And a large, mad boar or sow is not something I want to wrassle with. I would rather move back in with my ex!!!! I would have better odds with her. She is meaner, just not as big!!! | |

| I've only been hog hunting once, March 2011 in North Carolina. Would love to go again sometime. Have fun, and when choosing your weapon I say err on the side of big - they're tough! | |

| I'm one of the GREAT hog hunters of all time....been doing it for many years and I don't use a gun....guns are for sissy's. I just put on my camo's and go where I know they always are at and just take my time. Look over all of them and pick the one I want. Then I take my bare hands and just grab that sumbitch and pick it's ass up and slam it in the buggy...then proceed to the checkout register to pay for them......yep....I'm that damn good! | |
