RZR 900 XP Voltage Regulator

All, I just checked my RZR last month.  I installed my battery that I had on trickle charge all winter.  Started fine, but checked voltage and it was not charging.  I took to Polaris dealership for extended warranty on March 20th.  Part number was changed and it is back ordered.  Today is 4 May and I'm still waiting for new voltage regulator to arrive at dealership for repairs.  Part number was changed by Polaris and there are none available, not on e-bay or any parts store.  If you plan on riding soon, put a multi-meter on your battery while engine running and check the voltage.  I received notification last week that they anticipate shipping of my part soon.

Carl, I see that you are from Caretta.  I've ridden down there a couple of times.  You need to set up a ride and show us the trails.

Thanks for sharing.  I think the voltage regulator is a common problem with the RZR XP 900.  My nephew had one go out.  His first indication was overheating.  When the voltage dropped, the fan stopped working.

Why are all these rzr 900's and 1000's having voltage regulator issues? Also why are they backordered? You would think that they would have parts readily available and not make the customer wait.

The shortage might be due to a change in the part being upgraded and not being caught up yet in the production area.
