| Bush I had that exact same MP3 player but I had alot of problems with it. I would spend hours programing in about 100 songs on my favorites only for it to go blank constantly. I finally got an Ipod Nano. It's worth the extra dollars, IMO. I've got mine hooked up to the Dunertunes Kicker system and love it. I've had no problems with it yet. Tbone I would definitely go with some type of Ipod setup. I ride with several guys that have tried radios and cd players and most have had trouble with them. | |

| I was thinking about trying to get an XM radio setup to work on it. I am going to have an ipod for those times we are in the sticks and trees but when we are in the clear I may try to switch over to XM. |

That would be nice. Yea I dont think it will work too well in the trees and around the mountains but it may. I have not seen anyone with an XM setup so when I get my radio built, I am going to add it. I am going to build the radio out of the tool box that Bush and Bobby talked about. I will try to use a good car kit for the XM add on. Time will tell. |

| The toolbox bottom I used is from a $10 19" one from wal-mart. Only bad thing is the speakers don't set flush, the bottom had a raised area at each end and I had to move them out that far to make room for the amp on the inside.

| I have 2 Pyle 300 watt wake tower speakers mounted to roll bar, Pyle 600 watt marine amp, ipod plug, all purchased from e-tronics for around $300.
4th generation I-pod in waterproof otter case monted to dash. Otter only had cases for 4th gen Ipod.
This system will blow your ears off

| Trailmaker that is I had thought about building a better sound system, but was afraid of it being to much for the battery/charging system. But, I'm very happy with mine. It sounds very good for what it is. I'm really paranoid about battery drain. I wonder what the limit is before a charging system upgrade has to be done? | |

| One of my buds did a system like that but he added a extra battery.
We met a guy in Welch one day that had a booming system. He has put a full size car battery in a Rhino lol... I like tunes but thats just too much added weight.

I will try to use a good car kit for the XM add on. Time will tell. I have a sirius radio that I got for my car. I never did install it in my car. I was thinking about adding it to my RZR because the radios I have in both the ranger and rzr are SAT ready, and it would be portable enough to wear I could take it in and out and move around.

| Yea I want to try it. My xm has a hard time working when I am driving in the mountains going to ashland after Bluewell so I think it may not work too well where we go. Who knows.....I am going to try it....if it doesnt work then I will switch over to the MP3 player. |

| Where has everyone bought their toolboxes for this? I went to Lowes the other day and they didnt have what I needed to do this. The bottoms were all ridged where it wouldnt work. All the boxes at Lowes was KOBALT. No Planos or one that had a smooth bottom.
I dont want to buy from WalMart and cannot find any Plano boxes.
Any ideas? |

| I picked mine up at Home Depot or Lowes, it was an aluminum box. Not really sure what the cost was but just about any box that the speakers will fit in will work just fine. | |

| I ordered my Poly kit from audio allies in Raleigh tonight. Should have the black set by next week.
I got it from where Wacker got his.
I will go to lowes this week to get a power switch. Hopefully it wont take me too long to build it. I still have got to figure out how to get a charger wire long enough to run to the top for an ipod.
If anyone has any ideas then please let me know. |

| Tbone, just wire a 12 volt plug up on the roof. Do that and you wont need a long ipod cord. | |

| Run a 12v wire with a cig lighter end all the way up to the top from the battery to the top? Where do you get that stuff? |

Exactly but I would add an inline fuse in it. You can get everything at Walmart or any auto parts place for very little money and very simple to do.

| 10 amp should do it for the poly kit, try it and if it blows go to a 15 amp but no higher. Start with a 10! | |
